Registered Behavior Technician

The RBT is responsible for implementing individualized behavioral interventions under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This role is essential in supporting the development of functional, social, and communication skills in children with special needs, particularly those on the autism spectrum.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver behavior intervention programs as outlined by the supervising BCBA.
  • Collect and record accurate data on client behavior during each session.
  • Implement behavior modification strategies, including positive reinforcement, discrete trial training (DTT), and social skills instruction.
  • Maintain professional and respectful communication with families, caregivers, and clinical team members. 

Nice to have

  • Participate in ongoing training and clinical supervision sessions.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of the client throughout all sessions.
  • Foster a positive, structured, and motivating therapeutic environment.

Requirements

  • Current RBT certification through the BACB.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children with autism or developmental needs.
  • Effective communication skills in both English and Spanish.

  • Employment type: Full-time / Part-time
  • Schedule: Flexible, based on case assignments
  • Location: In-person at centers, schools, or homes (depending on service model)
  • Direct supervision: Assigned BCBA
